This is what greets you after around 300-400 odd spiralling, narrowing, horrendous steps when you climb to the top of St Peters Basilica in the Vatican, another 100 odd and you’re on top of it. I’m not a religious person by any stretch of the imagination but it still leaves me astounded at the beauty that can be created in the name of a vast Deity, and this is a perfect example.
Taken on my Nikon FM with 28mm lens on Agfa Visat Plus 200 ISO film at f2.8 1/8th sec.
I am sure yhe waiting at the queue was worth it but I simply couldn’t dedicate that much time..pity!

To be honest it’d been more worth it if every other museum in the Vatican wasn’t closed that day
