Taken with my Nikon FM with 28mm lens on Agfa Vista Plus 200 film at f11 1/250th sec. This is St Lythan’s Burial Chamber, a neolithic monument in a field in the Vale of Glamorgan, as you can see it was a beautiful day with blue sky and sunshine abound, what may or may not be more noticeable is how much that grass is blowing about…..it was damn windy.
I think what I like most about this image is the vibrancy of the colours, sure it’s a lot of green and blue but look how deep that blue is and look at how it transitions across the scene and sky from deep to much lighter and almost white, and the different shades of green from the individual blades of grass to the tree-line in the distance.
I even quite like the pylon and power cables in the background, as they cut through the gap in the tree-line and lead your eye from one set of trees to the other set at the far end of the image.
