Not strictly a photo “by” me but “of” me. Taken on my Nikon FM with 28mm lens on Ilford HP5 400 monochrome film in a beach-side bar in Bareclona. I really like this shot, firstly because I don’t have a huge selection of photographs of myself since I’m usually behind and not in front of the lens but also because it’s the candid style of photography that if you’ve been looking at this blog for a while you’ll know I like. My personal favourite part isn’t even me, it’s the woman in the background with the cigarette as you can just, if you squint enough, see the ting puff of smoke trail rising from the lit end, and THAT face she’s pulling. How unhappy is she?!
