Taken near Ystradfellte in the Brecon Beacons, this is just one of the many waterfalls that dot the landscape. There’s a lot of things I’m particularly pleased with in this shot, the framing of the falls themselves with the trees in the foreground and background surrounding it and making it central to the image. The scale with the two people tiny in the distance stood at the top on the rocks showing how big this waterfall is. And finally the inky blackness of the bottom of the image, likely caused by a mixture of underexposing the foreground and the film being spoiled at the bottom of the frame, but I think it adds to the whole image, with the water cascading down into the darkness of the abyss below.
This was taken on my Nikon FM with 28mm lens on Fomapan Classic 100 at f5.6 1/500th sec.
