Fishermen pulling a net in to the beach in Barafundle Bay, Pembrokeshire. Hard to believe that this was taken in Wales, yes it can look this sunny and hot in this country as well as everywhere else.
I love the reflections of the two fishermen in the wet sand at the shoreline in this shot, it really gives some sort of lifelike texture to the image, letting you see that the sand is wet enough to reflect like a mirror. I know that doesn’t sound like much but it gives a quality to the photograph that makes it easier to see exactly the conditions and feelings of being there in the shot. Other than that the depth and hue of the different blues across the image from the bottom, through the sea and into the sky I think look lovely.
Taken on my, now deceased, Olympus OM-1n with 50mm lens on Agfa Vista Plus 200 film at f11 1/1000th sec.
