There was a pro Refugee protest in Cardiff a few weeks ago, all these shots are taken at the event. They probably make it look like there was a lot more people there than there really was, it was a relatively small although not tiny gathering, but it was still nice to see so many people standing up for the rights of the least fortunate of all of humanity.
All shot on Olympus OM-1 with 50mm Olympus OM Auto Zuiko lens on Fomapan Classic 100.
f8 1/125th sec. Nice Anarchist flag in front of the statue of Anuerin Bevan, founder of the NHS.
f8 1/125th sec. I think this shot gives the flag a little bit more prominence, fluttering in the breeze, high above the crowd.
f8 1/125th sec.
f8 1/1000th sec. I really like this despite the badly exposed film to the right of the shot, I actually think it contrasts quite well with the rest of the image, especially the very light sign on the left.
f8 1/100th sec. These lot are the same group who were signing away in a previous post of mine, I especially like the three sat on the bench; one listening to the woman with her ack to us, the middle engrossed on the bottle of water in her hands and the third holding the sign prominently and staring at us, making a point of exactly why they’re here.
Cardiff… A great city to live. I have many happy memories from my time there as a student. I hope I will be able to visit it again this time with my wife and son. Keep taking cool street photographs of a cool city!!
