Once again all on my Olympus OM-D EM-5 using 17mm M.Zuiko 1:1.8 lens and around the streets of Cardiff, which is where I live (exciting fact for you there).
ISO 800, F4, 1/20th Sec. This is the interior of, arguably, my favourite coffee place in Cardiff, I took this because I like the upturned lamp shining against the wall and pointing up to the sign and what I assume are not real skulls. I also like the line’s all over this image, the wood on the wall, the bricks, the line across the window below the sign, yeah I like leading lines in images.
ISO 400, F4, 1/100th Sec. Five Pound cocktails, sounds tempting hmm? Maybe this guy is starting a queue waiting for his chance to wash one down? Or perhaps he’s just leaning on the wall and wondering why a random man with a camera is staring in his direction? Who know’s?
ISO 400, F4, 1/640th Sec. I took this because I thought the way these two people were stood in front of the statue looked like they were grieving, as if the statue was a tombstone and beneath the ground at their feet was a loved one. What do you think? For me it’s the hand on the back that does it for me, saying “everything is OK”.
ISO 400, F4, 1/320th Sec. I’ve posted images of this monument outside the Library in the centre of Cardiff a number of times but I like this one especially as it makes me feel small and insignificant, the entire giant ring surrounds the family walking below it, making them look like ants in comparison.
