Good Evening all, as this blog has grown over the past year, and in fact grown quite substantially in the last few month’s, it seem’s to have attracted a lot of new follower’s. So I thought I’d write a post that’s quite different to the usual one’s, and by that I mean I’m handing the rein’s over to you guy’s, the reader’s, for a little Question & Answer session.

Why Landscape photography?

Today I was stood in the middle of nowhere, next to a barely above freezing river while an icy cold wind battered me, struggling to sink the feet of a tripod evenly into sandy, muddy ground. It was at this point I realised that I had forgotten to pack up my filter holder, the little adapter ring you screw on the front of a lens so you can place Neutral density and other filter’s in front of it, making my journey to this location, while not meaningless but a little bit more frustrating as I now couldn’t take any long exposure shot’s of running water. And it is at this point I though to myself, why am I here?

Getting Ready

Yes I’ve posted a very similar image recently, no I don’t care. Here’s one taken on film, Fomapan Classic 100 to be exact using my Olympus OM-1 and 50mm lens.

Project 52: Week 9; Artistic – Shadows

This week is much more up my street (see what I did there?) in term’s of photography I’m comfortable with as this week the subject is “Artistic: Shadows”. Now whether or not you would call this artistic or not is up to you, I wouldn’t really myself, but light and shadow is a big part of my street photography so I’m pleased with this challenge.

As promised earlier in the week we’re returning to the street photography I’ve taken on film, since this blog was started originally to be about mostly film photography. All images are taken on Fomapan Classic 100 using my Olympus OM-1 and 50mm F.Zuiko lens.

Radio Show

Every Monday I  co-host a community radio show with a good friend of mine. Below are a few image’s I took for the radio station’s website, I don’t think they’ll even use them but hey got me to shoot portrait for practice I guess. All Take on my Nikon D5200 with Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4G lens.

There is also one of me, but I didn’t take it and to be perfectly honest the focus point is totally wrong and it looks a bit shoddy so I haven’t posted that here. Plus who on earth want’s to see my face?
