Is there anything better than discovering a whole roll of film you forgot you had scanned saved on your computer? Well yes I suppose there are many thing’s, not forgetting about it in the first place I suppose is a good start.
Anyway, welcome to a selection of image’s taken on a very cold and breezy day down by the River Ogmore where it meet’s the sea, all are taken on my Olympus Trip and on Agfa Vista Plus 200. As I said there was a whole roll so there will be a lot more where this came from over the next few day’s.
It never fail’s to astound me what good image’s you can get from the cheapest of film’s and the most basic of point and shoot’s (yes I admit the Olympus Trip is not the MOST basic of point and shoot’s but it’s not exactly a full manual SLR). Agfa Vista 200 seem’s to really capture the cool nature of the whole day in these image’s, heavily leaning toward’s the blue end of the spectrum, and the Zuiko 40mm f2.8 lens gives a lovely crispness to these as well. I’ll post the second set of image’s from this roll of film soon but in the meantime let me know what you think about these in the comments.
Film does have a special quality to it doesn’t it?

It most certainly does, digital can be fantastic but really nothing beat’s the look & feel of real film.

It’s almost a bygone era now isn’t it. But still special, remember how we used to be infinitely patient in waiting for it to develop!

I’m just old enough to remember using film the first time around, but not quite old enough to remember waiting patiently for it to come back in the post developed. I remember more playing on my Sega and running around like a maniac and these magic pictures appearing at some point day’s later.
