Another selection of street images images taken in Italia on my Olympus OM-D EM-5, enjoy.
25mm, ISO 400, f8, 1800th sec. I like to take candid shots on the street where the subject your photographing isn’t really noticing, however on this occasion I think the fact that the girl in the centre of the image is staring right at us compared to everyone else around adds something. It’s as if she’s the only one who knows what is going on and time has frozen for her and us.
25mm, ISO 400, f8, 1/640th sec. A street in Burano in the Venetian lagoon. The pattern of the street along with the shadows of the buildings around are what I was trying to capture here, the road seems to be leading to the people walking away from us.
25mm, ISO 800, f4, 1/30th sec. The vegetarian burger selection at a stall in the Mercato Centrale Di Firenze.
25mm, ISO 800, f1.4, 140th sec. The wide aperture allows us to focus on the man while he’s checking the prices on the butchers’ meat selection in Firenze. I like the contrast between the very bright back ground and the dark clothing of the man.
25mm, ISO 800, f4, 1/100th sec. Shot through the window of a cafe in Venezia, this is the kind of street candid shot I aim for and just felt so comfortable taking in Italia, so much easier to just blend in with the other tourists snapping away.
