Cafe
A couple of images from one of the coffee shops/cafes I like to visit in Cardiff. Taken with my Olympus OM-D EM5.
25mm, ISO 400, f1.4, 1/160th sec. This lens feels great when shot wide open at f1.4, the milk bottle and flowers are nicely harp but the drop of behind them is quite fast and nicely blurred, as you’d want. (more…)
Train Station
I walk past this graffiti everyday as the train station here is the one I use to catch the train to work, been meaning to take a photo of it for a while, I really like the little artist in the corner with his easel and the swooshes of lines coming out of his brush and along the wall. In real life this is quite colourful but I quite like it in black and white as well.

A Parade Of Strangers – Eduardo Pavez Goye
Lets delve again into my collection of books (my girlfriend says I have too many, but can you really have too many books?), specifically photography books. This time we have a limited run book by photographer and You Tube Vlogger Eduardo Pavez Goye, I say limited run as he sold it through Etsy on a print run of only 50 copies, of which I managed to get hold of a copy after pouncing on it as soon as could, it sold out very quickly.

Question To Followers
It’s rare I address you guys, the great public of Internetland, directly but this is something that I want to garner a response for before taking the plunge. You may have seen from my New Years Resolutions post that one of the things I’m planning on trying this year is to sell a print (maybe prints but a single print would do) of some of my work and would be really interested to know if there would be any interest in this at all? Foggy Shoreline
Another image taken the same day as this, a foggy day with a little bit of hazy sunshine breaking through but for a very limited time. I used a neutral density filter and a long (ish) exposure to capture the look of the sea as it started coming in and washing over the pebbles.

Street Photography – Olympus OM-D EM-5; 77
Another day, another street photography post.
25mm, ISO 400, f4, 1/3200. I was walking along the river on my lunch break and spotted this row of gulls perched in a big long line, I tried to use the curvature of the railing to lead the eye through the image to them and to enclose the large negative space of the walkway itself in the left third of this image.
