Project 52: Week 48; Artistic – Bokeh

Another week and another entry into my 52 week photography project, this time around the subject is Bokeh, something I would be surprised to hear any photographer say they don’t enjoy. Bokeh is the pleasing blurred out of focus area of a photograph beyond the subject you’re capturing, it’s easiest t capture with a wide aperture hence why the below shot is taken at the widest setting available on the lens.

Beer Bottle

Taken at Piazzale Michelangelo, Firenze, after sunset. The light sin the background are the city of Firenze/Florence. If Peroni want this image they are welcome to buy it off me for a lifetime supply of the stuff (i wish).

Project 52: Week 24; Artistic – Sparkle

Next late instalment of Project 52, this time around the subject is “Sparkle”, I had an idea in mind for this but couldn’t recreate it after I saw it, annoyingly, so this is what I came up with instead. A macro shot of the top of a decanter I have next to my desk in my living room, I like the bokeh of the whisky bottle in the background as well the shape and reflection’s coming through the top of the decanter.Week 24 Artistic Sparkle.jpg Olympus OMD EM5, OM-Micro 4/3rds adapter, 50mm F.Zuiko 1:1.8, ISO 800, f1.8, 1/30th sec. Rose

Rose 28mm Agfa Vista Plus 200 f8 250th sec

Probably not a rose, I know nothing about flowers. I do however know about colour, and this colour is something I like a lot. The bright yellow and greens all throughout this image, it’s lively, it’s fresh and it’s nature in it’s wonderfully punchy glory.

Taken on Nikon FM with 28mm lens on Agfa Vista Plus 200 at f8 1/125th sec (more…)
