Project 52: Week 14; Landscape – Zoomed In

OK I will admit it, this project has turned into more of a look back through my portfolio to find images that fit into each week’s brief rather than me going out and actively shooting. But then again, is that such a bad thing? I get to share images I probably wouldn’t have with you guys and I also get to look back through, admittedly some truly horrible, previous photo’s I’ve taken.

This week the subject is Landscape : Zoomed In. Does what it say’s on the tin eh? Most landscape images I take are wide and sweeping, usually of the sea of rolling hills and valley’s, the idea of this is a landscape image that’s more compact, cropped down, tight and focused on a particular subject in that landscape. Now For this I went back through my portfolio and came across a few that probably fitted the bill but that I wasn’t totally happy with sharing, mainly because I would say I don’t think I really knew what I was doing with my camera’s or my photography up until the last year or so. This image I think work’s as it’s a scene I have photographed in a standard format but then also taken this from much closer up, it was taken back in Feb 2015.

Bridge Over the Ogmore River

As I said yesterday I’ve got some more shots of the River Ogmore near the castle in South Wales and I’ll be posting them across the next few days, this is the second instalment, the first can be found here.

First up this shot of a bridge across the river taken on my Nikon FM with 28mm lens on Ilford FP4 125 ISO film and at f5.6 1/500th sec.
