Street Photography – Olympus OM-D EM-5; 25

For the twenty fifth edition of this street photography series we have something a little different, usually this involves image’s taken from around Cardiff but as I went away on the weekend to Berlin this time I have one’s taken there. As always all taken on my Olympus OM-D EM-5 and with either 17mm M.Zuiko 1.7 or Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm lenses.

P1010058.jpg 17mm, ISO 200, F4, 1/2000th Sec. The rather spectacular dome on the roof of the Reichstag.

P1010064.jpg 17mm, ISO 200, F4, 1/1600th Sec. The rather spectacular inside of the dome on the roof of the Reichstag, I love the mirrored column in the centre of this place.

P1010072.jpg 17mm, ISO 200, F4, 1/200th Sec. Another shot of the mirrored central column within the roof of the Reichstag, this time taken from above and looking down into the glass ceiling below.

P1010093.jpg 25mm, ISO 200, F4, 1/1000th Sec. The Reichstag building in all it’s glory, beautiful building and so historically significant. Walking around and on it’s roof felt like you were experiencing the history that had taken place here itself.

P1010098.jpg 25mm, ISO 200, F4, 1/2000th Sec.The Brandenburg Gate, again another historically significant place, the city has so many of them. That day an anti nuclear protest was taking place, which you can see banners for in the centre of the image.

      1. Definitely. It allows the viewer to see the scene, rather than looking at the color and being distracted from the message.
